Paddle Canada Level 2 Sea Kayaking
The Paddle Canada Level 2 Sea Kayaking Course provides the skills and knowledge for proficient kayaking at sea in moderate conditions, on overnight trips along a moderately exposed coastline with frequent easy landing opportunities.
Location - White Rock and the Gulf Islands


Instruction at this level takes the skills from Level 1 Sea Kayaking and uses them in “dynamic waters” (waves / current).  Level 1 kayak skills must be strong to be successful in the Level 2 kayak course.


-Paddle Canada Sea Kayaking Level 1 Skills Certification

- Experience at least 3, day long kayaking trips in different locations

- Wilderness First-Aid (16 hours) recommended

Course Length
4 days including at least 1 overnight

Class ratio
1 instructor: 4 participants

Moderate winds: (12-19 knots); moderate sea state (combined wind wave / swell less than 1-metre); Surf: less than 1-meter;
Current less than 3 knots.
