Paddle Canada Level 1 Sea Kayaking Skills
Location - White Rock and/or Crescent Beach, Surrey
The Paddle Canada Level 1 Sea Kayaking course provides the skill and knowledge for day long sea kayaking trips in sheltered waters (non-wilderness areas). Successful completion of Level 1 indicates competence to paddle a sea kayak in a sheltered bay with the company of one or more paddlers with Level 1 or greater skill and knowledge.

Instruction at this level focuses on refining and perfecting the skills learned in the Introduction to Kayaking course. Along with the introduction of additional skills and recoveries.

- Paddle Canada Flatwater Kayaking Skills certification or equivalent training is required.

Sheltered waters with uninterrupted easy landing options

Light winds (0-11 knots) Current (0-0.5 knots) Sea state calm to light chop.
